Sustainability

Image advertising the walk to school challenge

We actively encourage sustainable travel through our participation in the WOW challenge. Children are encouraged to walk, scoot or cycle to school at least three times a week to help reduce traffic and improve air quality around our school. Each month, pupils who take part are rewarded with a WOW badge, helping to motivate healthy habits while teaching children that small, positive choices can make a big difference to the environment.

Romy and Shiela who work for the Watford Council (Veolia) helped the children to make a big bug hotel. The children hunted for mini beasts and then used cardboard and leaves to create a habitat for them.
